I am a private investor with a steady job trying to achieve financial independence and pursue other
interests in life. My hobbies are
investment finance, music, movies and spirituality.
I am a self taught
investor who learnt the basics of investing after paying large tuition fees to
Mr. Market. I started actively trading
in market thinking that I was investing since 2003.
My returns were not satisfactory and my fixed
deposits were doing better than my investment portfolio. By 2007, I realized that
investing is a lot different than what I was doing and since then, my investment
returns have been satisfactory. I have been able to beat the market and cut down my losses.
My investment style
now is based on value investing principles.
I have incorporated the teachings of Ben Graham, Warren Buffet and other value investing champions.
I follow the investment rule of
finding great businesses that provide very high returns on capital consistently
, have good people running it and
available at a reasonable price to its fair value. While I prefer strong moats, I do from time
to time invest in companies with very fragile moat but run efficiently. My investment horizon range from minimum one
year to holding forever depending on business fundamentals and price to fair
value equation.
This blog is an
online journal of my investment journey and the choices I make and their
results. I intend to cover other topics like personal finance, behavioral finance etc. This blog is for educational and discussions purpose only. I do not provide any tips or technical calls. I may enter or exit any investments anytime
which I may or may not provide update in this blog. I or this blog cannot be
made responsible for any investment
decisions you make based on the topic discussed here. Please read the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.
